This lovely rare, unique 1920s 1930s HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY Character Dog, Puppy, Animal Purse Pyjama Nightie Bag Zip Case. Features a side metal zipper, stuffed spring face, quilted interior. These were first marketed to women as boudoir animals who could sit on the sofa, couch, chair and bed and hold small items, objects. Later on they rolled out kiddie cuddle case, meant to hold pyjamas. This could be a cuddle case.
Can hold most items, in the zipper compartment. Glasses case, phone, wallet and keys. It's a stealth to carry around, no one would suspect to carry around a animal is a functional clutch purse.
HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY HBC is the oldest corporation in North America and was incorporated in 1670. In 1910 the company was restructured into three departments land sales, fur trade and retail in 1913 HBC invested in construction of new retail stores.
Made from a rayon wool, cotton plush fur raffia straw molded internal head, and vintage brass KYN HOOK zipper.
